Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Welcome to Woowooville, the next stop on your spiritual journey, hosted by two fellow travelers who found a soul connection on the path to higher consciousness.
Our goal is to help you navigate the choppy waters you're likely to encounter on the spiritual path by sharing our experiences with you each week.
Join us as we spill the tea on what it's like to wake up to your authentic self.
My name is Ameril and I'm here with.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: I'm Lola Singer, and we have a confession to make, or at least I do.
We're recording this on a full moon and I am doing my darndest to be grounded and not succeeding.
I just made a silly boner error. That is so funny. I went to record our episode and it didn't quite work, so we had to start it over again because I just not grounded. And so we thought it'd be really nice to let people know that even those of us who've been on the spiritual journey a long time, those of us who have practiced a lot of grounding skills, we've got intuition working in our favor.
We still feel the influences of the full moon just like you do. And sometimes it's energizing, sometimes it's draining.
Sometimes, sometimes like for me, Foggy brain. So we're calling this episode the Full Moon and you.
[00:01:29] Speaker A: Yes.
So with full moons, it's really interesting because.
And we're just bringing it to. We search out some of the things that we might feel during a full moon that we have experienced ourselves and we can talk about. But it's also, in general, it's. The moon pulls a certain gravity and it affects our ocean. And we have to understand that we're made of at least 80% water.
So if it's affecting our ocean, of course it's going to affect us energetically.
And we have experienced quite a bit of it, actually.
But also, I feel like these energies are very helpful for us too, especially when we're.
What they really do is they really surface out things. That's what they've done for me. And I'm very grateful for full moons because even though they surface things, and sometimes those things can be emotional, sometimes those things can be really deep.
They're coming out to the surface to be healed so that I can be thankful for.
[00:02:33] Speaker B: Yeah. And as long as you're aware that maybe you're not at your mental peak during a full moon or you're particularly emotional during a full moon, you can actually use that to your advantage, especially when you think about how people traditionally use A full moon to release energy or thoughts or feelings that need to be shifted out.
That's how you can start to take control of it. So for a new moon, you want to bring in the brand new idea of the manifestation.
Something you're excited about, that you want to build.
And on a full moon, traditionally, you release what needs to go.
So you have the space to build something new, right?
[00:03:13] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:03:15] Speaker B: So what do you.
I can't even talk.
[00:03:20] Speaker A: You go first, I will start.
[00:03:22] Speaker B: So maybe, maybe I'll get myself in charge of the full moon in a few seconds.
[00:03:29] Speaker A: So I did the search because I wanted to get the general search research idea of what the. What it says. The full moon is often associated with heightened emotions and increased spiritual awareness.
So within these.
In some spiritual traditions, it's considered a time for reflection, release and renewal, Allowing for letting go of what no longer serves in aligning with one's true nature.
It's also seen as a potent time for manifesting intentions and setting new directions in life.
So the first thing on the list.
[00:04:11] Speaker B: Well, I want to go back what you said. I think a lot of people focus so much on releasing what needs to go like let's say, maybe cruel thoughts about yourself. That's a good example. I think we've all experienced that. I want to release these cruel thoughts related to this situation during this full moon. And then they forget about the manifestation part you just read about. Now what are you going to bring in? You release. But what are you going to bring in? You're going to bring in some beautiful loving energy or some joy or something like that. Right.
[00:04:41] Speaker A: So one of the things that I started practicing with full moons is doing two sheets of paper. And then the first one I usually do is about release. So write down everything that I'm ready to let go of.
And this is a very. This is not. You become your worst enemy. This is a self reflection of what do you no longer align with? And what would you like to let go of that you feel in your soul that you want to let go of?
And then on the. I do another piece of paper and on the other piece of paper I write down what I would like to bring in. What's really funny is without even trying, I've always end up with the same amount of numbers and one list as the one.
[00:05:24] Speaker B: Talk about polarity.
Yeah. So anyway, I just thought that was interesting that that was actually in the description you're reading. Because I think a lot of times we concentrate on the release. But what do we do with that void?
[00:05:38] Speaker A: Exactly and you don't want to just leave it blank because it can be filled up with not such great things.
But not only that, but it's the.
One of the things that I've been going through which we are all always working with is balance.
So we need to have a balance. Like are receiving and giving are really important sides of us, and they have to be balanced. If one is in balance with the other, then it's not allowing the other one. So if you over give, you can't. You're blocking your receive. And if you're over receiving, then you're going to be like, messed up with your giving. So balance is the key.
Funny enough, Lola always says balance is mastery. And I love that term. And the reason why I love that term is for people like me that suffered from, I guess, trying to be perfect, which is such a weird concept because there's no way you could ever be perfect. So I can never hold the word perfect as something achievable, but I can always hold balance as something achievable.
And when I hold balance as something that I can do, then it's like, balance is mastery. Then I feel great about it.
At least that's what happens to me when I think about it in that way or sense.
[00:06:59] Speaker B: I was thinking of it as correcting your wobble. Yes, we always wobble.
[00:07:03] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:07:03] Speaker B: I'm definitely wobbling during this full moon.
So at least we can laugh about it. Right.
[00:07:10] Speaker A: And I'm not claiming to be any better because when I got here, I was so out of it and things. Thankfully, Lola helped me with strain stuff and letting go of some things that were really getting ready to be shed off. But nonetheless, that's just.
I think if we.
If we see moons as a great opportunity to just. Whatever's ready to just come out of us, just allow that.
It's the best way. In other words, instead of fighting it off, just allow it.
[00:07:40] Speaker B: Yeah. And part of what we're talking about here, I looked up as well and got some answers about what happens to us spiritually on a full moon and hand in hand with what you're saying. I'd like to read this. It says the full moon tends to amplify emotions. So we're talking about these heightened emotions and intuition. Right.
I love this. It brings what was hidden beneath the surface to light.
[00:08:07] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:08:08] Speaker B: And that's what a moon does. It illuminates. Right.
Yeah.
[00:08:11] Speaker A: In the darkness, it shines.
And then.
[00:08:15] Speaker B: Things you've been repressing.
[00:08:16] Speaker A: Yep. So what's really interesting too, is Like, I always bring it back to, like, everyday life things. So as clients, I've had a lot of caregivers.
In one of the caregiver clients that I've had, she said, oh, in, like, the caregiving where I work at and everywhere I've ever worked at, we're always really aware of when full moons are coming. In fact, we try to not work those days. I said, what do you mean? So, like, those are the days that our tenants are the most. Like, they can't sleep. They're the most frustrated. Like, it just really. They are very affected in emotionally, in now, like, going through it. At first I didn't think about it, but it makes sense because of the heightened emotions that brings out of them. Like, all those things that they haven't taken care of, they're not at peace with. It's going to surface them up.
[00:09:06] Speaker B: Yeah. And when I was a phone counselor, I used to help people quit smoking over the phone. And there were people at cubicles next to me, and there were certain days where people were complaining about the people they were trying to help were extra cranky. I would always ask, oh, is it a full moon today? And we'd look it up, and lo and behold, it'd be a full moon.
[00:09:24] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:09:25] Speaker B: I worked retail. I'm sure the people who've worked retail in the audience can agree, too, that on full moons, people seem to be extra cranky.
[00:09:32] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:09:34] Speaker B: But you can use this motions to your advantage as long as you look at them kind of clinically and go, okay, I see this is coming up for a reason.
It's time for me to let it go.
So that's why you want to be thinking about, what are some ways I can release these emotions. We've got some episodes about that in our backlog catalog, but it really is a time for allowing yourself to cry or to scream in the pillow or recognize you are frustrated and try to find a healthy release for that.
[00:10:13] Speaker A: I think also, like, it's about, like, really being honest with yourself about the emotion that's coming out. So, for example, if it's anger, like, there's ways to deal with anger that are way more effective than others. I mean, through any emotion, breathwork is excellent for it. But for example, when you're. When you have really anger that's bottling up and coming up, a good scream can really help to just get rid of that excess energy. Like an intentional scream, I should say, just not screaming. And obviously you want to do it in some sort of privacy where you feel safe. Or worse comes to worse, you can use a pillow and muffle your screen so that way it will still work. It's just as. As long as you're setting the intention of I'm letting this out and I'm allowing myself to have the freedom to let it out by screaming it out, especially for anger is incredible.
I tried it. I can definitely attest to that. But again, same as breathwork, breath work really neutralizes emotion. So if you haven't tried breath work, breath work is amazing. I facilitate a breath work class every two weeks, usually on Mondays from 7 to 8pm Pacific Time. Feel free to reach out to our Facebook page, which is welcome to Woo Woo Bill, your next stop in your spiritual journey and just message us there and we can send a link for you.
We do it through zoom, so you're at the comfort of your own home while you're doing it. Your camera's off, your sounds off, so you get all the privacy you want.
[00:11:57] Speaker B: Yeah. Emeril just coaches you through it, so from time to time you'll hear his voice.
[00:12:01] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:12:01] Speaker B: It is a great way to release anger in a safe environment.
And I want to go back to anger. Anger is a catalyst for change, so it's not necessarily a bad thing. It's just how do you direct that anger? So if you're feeling angry on a full moon, you might want to plan ahead to how. If I feel intense emotions like anger or what's a safe way for me to release it. And I think that's why we're bringing you these kind of suggestions and even the ones in the previous episodes too.
So don't be afraid of anger, but use it wisely. Use it scientifically.
[00:12:35] Speaker A: Yeah.
What's the next one?
[00:12:39] Speaker B: Well, I just want to talk about being feminine during the full moon because we know our cycles are definitely tied to that. So I was usually a crying mess during full moons when. When. I mean, come on, girls, it's not a fun time anyway. And then to have the emotions on top of it and, you know, if you're like me, you got the breakouts on top of it and it was like everything at once.
And so there were times I was just on a crying jag and I guess the same thing applies. Yeah, I know. An outsider just gonna look at you like, what?
It's not just the full moon. It's the combo of the feminine cycle with the full moon. It is just so hard on our bodies and our emotions and our cry it out if you can. If you've got a safe place Let it out. I think it's the best time to just release because there's hormones involved as well as the pull in the gravity of the moon on the water within us. And it's just like, yeah, ladies, it's not fun.
[00:13:44] Speaker A: And just bringing it to the full moon.
One of the things about the full moons is the connection to the divine feminine. So in some traditions, the full moon is seen as a symbol of the divine feminine, representing wholeness, abundance, and nurturing energy.
[00:14:00] Speaker B: That's because it looks like the fullest pregnancy, right? Yeah. Plus, they were aware of how it did affect women.
So I just wanted to bring that up because I empathize with you all. I really do.
I really do. So that's part. That's part of that emotional intensity we're talking about. You can experience it as a man just as emotional intensity, but then we've got all these hormones kicking in at that time, too. It is.
It's. For lack of a better word, it's kind of a shit show.
Mm.
[00:14:33] Speaker A: Well, I've. I've had my moments where, like, I've just. On a full moon has really brought up emotions where I'm just bawling my eyes out, but I'm like. I'm just allowing it to come out. I mean, ideally, you want it to be somewhere private, but sometimes it just kind of happens to us. Like, I've had so many times where I've been driving. It gets me when I'm driving. It gets people differently whenever they're in certain parts.
[00:15:01] Speaker B: But it's usually when you're relaxed.
[00:15:03] Speaker A: Yeah. I guess I must get really relaxed when I'm driving because that's when I get a lot of messages. But with, like, sometimes it can be just the song and it just brings it out and I start trying. Oh, music. I mean, think about me how powerful music is, but. Excuse me, but I noticed that with certain songs, we can go back to our past. Like, certain songs hold certain memories within us. And then, of course, it's going to bring out slash trigger you sometimes and bring certain emotions out of you.
[00:15:35] Speaker B: Yeah. So one of the reasons this might seem so intense, too, is something on the list of what I found out about correlating to the full moon. And that's the illumination of the shadow self.
[00:15:49] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:15:49] Speaker B: So the full moon, like we talked about, it brings us clarity, and it reveals things that were hidden. And sometimes we don't want to accept the things that are hidden when it comes to.
When it goes from our subconscious where we can't label it to our conscious, where we're aware of it, there can be a little bit of a denial too. So it brings up all kinds of feelings.
So it's definitely the time to really understand that your shadow self may be showing up in a way that seems very, very real to you now.
[00:16:27] Speaker A: And, you know, the thing about the shadow is just asking for to be understood, to be brought out to light, to be able to be process.
We think of our flaws as the shadow parts of us, but really it holds.
It holds a lot of our unexplored gifts that we have. Because the more you face what you fear or what you're hiding, the stronger you become once you actually heal, like go through it and heal it, which that took a while for me to understand. I'm not gonna claim that.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: I don't think most of us understand that. It's actually very helpful and cathartic at first. Yeah, because it just brings up all of these shame spirals.
We've repressed these thoughts and these emotions for a reason.
But it's really an opportunity during the full moon to once again shine some light on it so that you can allow yourself to move forward.
So if you think of the moon being a cycle, that's part of the cycle. Let's cycle these emotions and these feelings and these thoughts that I didn't want to look at. Let's cycle them through so we can purify them and move forward.
You know, that's an interesting thing too, that we didn't talk about beforehand.
I love a moon bath.
As far as purifying the difference between a sun bath and a moon bath, when you're in the moon and you just feel that energy on your body, it is so soft and so gentle. It is one of the things I love the most about the full moon is just that if you just outside and you tune into the energy and you just let it shine on you, I personally love it.
So that can be very cleansing in and of itself.
[00:18:21] Speaker A: I also like to. One of the things that was really coming up and I've done before, and I'm sure that it can help others to hear this, but sometimes we. We feel the emotions, but we don't really know what's behind them. So a lot of the times it's more about going inwards and just pausing for a second and then just being with yourself. Like, what I like to do is if I have an emotion come up, especially nowadays is I just light up a candle. It takes a moment to myself. I grab a journal and I just Ask what? Like, I. Whatever the emotion might be, I just ask, what are you trying to tell me? What is it? If we go deeper, what is it that it's happening that I'm not aware of? What would you like to show me?
And you start doing free writing, and it's amazing the stuff that can come out.
[00:19:15] Speaker B: Yeah. And while you were talking, I was thinking about, you know, many cultures consider the moon to be a mirror because it's a reflection of the sun. Right. So it really is the time to reflect on yourself and move forward.
I kind of forgot, too. Something we didn't think about was, like, how you like to use the full moon to charge your water.
Do the moon water, and how people charge their stones under a full moon.
[00:19:41] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:19:41] Speaker B: So it's got benevolent properties. It's not all about, you know, hidden fears.
[00:19:48] Speaker A: And, you know, the thing that I was telling Lola, even though we will not touch on that, because it's just one of those things that. That's not really where we're going with this. But we're not naive. We are aware that during full moons, energy can be just used in so many different ways. And, yes, some people use that energy to do negative things, and we're aware of that. But what we're saying is we are rising above that, and we're actually using the energy to help us with our growth, to help us understand ourselves a little bit more, and to help facilitate the transition of what's coming up that's no longer us, to be able to allow us to let it go.
And that's just. I wanted to mention it because I know that a lot of some people are very.
I would say, for lack of a better word, turn off to the full moons because they just see it as like something evil and whatever in everything has. Like, I feel like I look at life now as a polarity. Like, you're always going to have both sides of it, and it's depending on what you choose to bring out of it or what you choose to focus in, is what you're going to, where you're going to go with it.
[00:20:59] Speaker B: Well, it's also if you're. If you're shining a light on the things you've been repressing, this is your opportunity to balance it, like we talked about earlier, to integrate it, accept it as part of you, so that you can get that balance and harmony going. Because mastery isn't denying parts of ourselves. It's accepting all parts of ourselves and. And knowing when to use those parts and when not to.
So we have a light side and we have a dark side. Now that just because you have a dark side does not make you a bad person.
[00:21:35] Speaker A: Look at the yin and yang signal.
[00:21:37] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. The black one has a white dot in it and the yellow and sorry. And the white comma has a black dot in it for a reason.
And I bring this up, too, when I do certain tarot readings with a certain card.
When it shows up, it kind of talks about the light and the dark sides. And I say to people, if your mom in your home with the kids and all of a sudden a stranger comes through your door, isn't your dark side going to show up?
Your mama bear is going to show up for sure.
[00:22:07] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:22:08] Speaker B: That doesn't mean you use your dark side all the time. It's just you acknowledge it's there and you use it in certain situations.
That.
So I think that the full moon gives people a chance to do that. Kind of start to accept their darker nature.
And where there's darkness, there's always light. It's going to be balanced. Oh, that's a good point, too, because I don't think a lot of people that are new to the spiritual journey understand this.
You know how they say love and light? Right. The lighter you go, the more you raise your vibe, the lighter your energy gets, the darker your shadow.
[00:22:49] Speaker A: Mm.
[00:22:51] Speaker B: So that doesn't mean you've done anything wrong. That's just how it works in this. In this polar world that we live in. So, once again, just because you start seeing your dark nature does not mean you don't have an equally light nature, too.
[00:23:07] Speaker A: I also.
One of the things that just kind of surfacing up for me is that I was a very judgmental person. Like, before I went through my spiritual awakening, and I didn't even know why, because literally. Well, first of all, it. Like, now I understand where it came from. For me, it was a lot of the religious programming of when you think the religious as a whole, and you're constantly oppressed by it by saying, oh, you're a sinner and you're doing this and you're doing that, and then you unintentionally point that finger back at others, too, because you're saying, if I'm being pointed at that finger, then I have the right to judge others.
So there's that one concept. The other thing is polarity. As far as we have all lived so many lifetimes, and among these lifetimes, we all have those. The dark lifetimes that we've gone through where we've done everything.
And I got to see those, and when I got to see those, it was not pretty and it was not something that it takes a lot of strength to just become the observer and not get consumed by it. But it also allows you to really fully allow others to live their own journey and have their own experience and not judge them for it.
Yes. There's still things that obviously are frowned upon. Like murder is not okay, but what I'm saying is even that you've murdered other people's in other lifetimes. So it's like. And we're not saying that it shouldn't be like. Like we want that to happen. It's just a thing that it's part of the growth.
[00:24:53] Speaker B: Yeah. We want to experience the polarity.
[00:24:56] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:24:57] Speaker B: So if you're like one of the saint in one life, you're probably a tyrant in another.
Yeah.
Eli, my tarot teacher, used to say, cracked me up in a class one time, he said, somewhere in some country, probably in Eastern Europe or someplace, there's a statue of you as a tyrant.
Yeah, there probably is.
Probably.
Okay. But that's part of the illumination and the revelation and the clarity that this particular cycle can bring to you if you're willing to work with it and be objective about yourself and clearing past lives.
That's a great one.
There's a karmic residue that you just want to clear out. So you can't clear it out by denying it. You can clear it out by recognizing it and working with it.
[00:25:49] Speaker A: The other thing too is during full moons, there's a lot of rituals that there are really powerful that you can take advantage of. So an example of a ritual is what we talked about apart, writing down the things you're ready to let go. And in place of that, did you want to fill in? That's a part of a ritual. But I want to go more specific on the moon water, because I feel like the moon water is a really basic thing that anyone can do and take advantage of.
So the. The moon water, what I like to do is I grab a glass of water and I. And make sure it's glass because you want it to have that natural feel to it. You put the water.
You can put crystals in it, but please be aware of which crystals.
[00:26:37] Speaker B: Yes. Some of them can't be in water.
[00:26:38] Speaker A: Exactly. And some of them can release some toxic things. So I always just do like clear crystals or I can do like.
But talk to your water. Set the intention of what you want to bring forth, but you set it in as it's you already have it and then you leave the.
You do it at night.
And keep in mind that the full moon, another thing that people think is just the day of, but in reality, the energy is three days before and three days after. In fact, I feel like it's more potent three days after, because I can definitely, definitely feel it.
But you leave it outside, and then in the morning when you wake up, before you drink it, you say thank you to it, and then you drink it. And as you imagine every cell of your body being programmed with that new.
It's like a download that you're bringing into your body.
And that's a really basic one. And I love doing that one. In fact, I'll be doing that one tonight. Sometimes I do it the night before, but I like to do it more the night of because as I. As I said, I feel like the day of and the coming up days are like a little more potent than the beginning days.
[00:27:51] Speaker B: Yeah. While you were talking too, I was. I pulled up, you know, why do people charge their crystals under the full moon? And the response I got from the AI is that for several reasons. But the first one that came up is it's the full moon represents a peak or culmination of energy in the lunar cycle.
So it was saying earlier, you plant a seed during the new moon, and then it comes to the fullest part of the harvest during the full moon. So that's why they're saying amplified energy.
And that can help charge the crystals for sure, boost their natural properties.
It also cleanses. That's what we were talking about, I guess, with the moon bath, how when I'm in the moon bath, it feels very purifying to me. Very calm and purifying.
So that can clear out some unwanted energy, just like we were talking about. We do it consciously, but it also can happen with the crystals, right?
[00:28:51] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:28:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
And it's also talking about the divine feminine, like we talked about, there's nurturing energy with the full moon.
And yeah, traditionally the moon is associated with females and the sun with masculine energy. So that makes sense too.
So it's also because of amplified time for setting intentions. Just like you talked about, you can focus the energy of your desiring onto your crystals too.
So a lot of good things to do.
I think that some people, like you talked about, there's some people see a stigma with the full moon because of the amplified energies.
Certain people are using that energy for less than beneficial reasons. But like you were saying, Amaral, if we can turn that around and all of us, everyone listening to this, every time there's a full moon, really focus on the best intentions of what to be releasing and what to bring in. We can counteract that.
We're more powerful than, than you give yourself credit for.
[00:30:02] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:30:06] Speaker B: So.
[00:30:08] Speaker A: I feel like with every full moon that at least I've kind of experienced this stuff. It has really helped me with.
I think if you're serious about your spiritual growth and really focusing in, into the things that you're ready to evolve and let go of, each full moon helps you to really shift out a lot faster. And that's one of the things that it has allowed me to do because I can definitely remember when I started and I learned about like letting go, using the full moon's energy and doing all these rituals. And then all of a sudden, as I'm doing these rituals, I'm also being honest with myself of this is truly what I'm letting go. And it's almost like you psychologically start evolving because you start letting go of things that are no longer you. And by doing that, you're allowing yourself to move a little bit, like just kind of not necessarily speed up, just more of really taking advantage of, of that moon to help you with releasing that. Another thing we were talking about before we started the podcast is how every full moon in astrology is a line up usually to a sign. And depending on the sign that it is, is what it helps you with, with your intention. So sometimes like they, for me at least, they really happen to line up with the things I'm working with in.
I mean, when this, when this one airs out, it's probably not going to be aligned with whatever. But like, for example, this full moons aligned with Sagittarius and Sagittarius is a fire sign.
And so it's about like really being authentic with yourself. And it's just things that, for example, no longer in alignment with me. I had to really reflect. And when I did my ritual, I did it this morning because I woke up super early.
I was able to really tap into those things of, okay, where do I stand holding myself accountable and being truthful to myself and saying what am I ready to really let go and what lessons have I already learned where it feels like all that's left is kind of the thoughts. It's no longer about the whole process of it because we're all here to learn lessons. So we don't want to jump through and not learn no lessons, but it's more about having that reflection, like as we said earlier and being truly just present and saying, okay, what is really stopping me right now from this point, from moving forward to where I want to go and where I'm heading?
[00:32:53] Speaker B: Yeah. That's taking a really good, honest look at yourself, which is what this is about.
[00:32:57] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:32:59] Speaker B: Okay, so I just asked, what are some really simple things you can do on the full moon? You know, for.
How can you take control of the full moon? I guess, is what I'm trying to say, instead of you thinking it's controlling you.
[00:33:13] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:33:13] Speaker B: So the first suggestion that came up was to do a full moon meditation. Simple.
[00:33:20] Speaker A: There's lots of them on YouTube, too.
[00:33:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. And the purpose is to align with the full moon's energy to clear your mind and receive intuitive insights. So even if you don't have a specific intention, I guess the intention could be, I want to clear my mind.
[00:33:36] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:33:36] Speaker B: And, of course, space doesn't like.
Space doesn't like a vacuum. So something's going to come in to replace those thoughts. Right. So ask for the intuitive insights. Come in.
The suggestion is just to find a quiet space, close your eyes, take deep breaths, just like Amaral talked about.
And then visualize the moon's radiant light bathing you in soft, soothing energy, and imagine it filling your entire being with clarity, love, and peace. Well, doesn't that sound good?
Ask for guidance and wisdom or insight you need at this time. And then, see, sit in silence, allowing any insights to arise.
And then, when you're ready, thank the moon when you come back.
So that's something you could do quietly, silently.
Won't disturb your family.
You know, on a full moon, you know, if you're feeling some of the emotions we talked about, you could sit quietly and say, I want to balance my emotions. Please help me push this anger through and, you know, bring in the insights I need to help me get through this. So another recommendation is one of Amaral's favorites, Full Moon journaling.
Yeah. So grab your pen, and the suggestion is just write down anything that feels heavy and no longer serves you, which is what you were talking about earlier.
That could include fears, limiting beliefs, and emotional baggage.
And then visualize those things being released into the moon's light.
That's a good thing. I like that.
And then transform them into something positive or neutral. That's good. If you're not feeling positive, you could at least go for neutral.
Okay.
And then what do you want to bring into your life? Start thinking about that, because the next cycle coming up. Yeah.
So I like that.
And then another ritual that came up was crystal charging, like we talked about.
Oh, yeah. Grab your jewelry, too, and your sacred objects. Put it in the moon. Yeah. It's not just the crystals.
Put them outside or in a windowsill. Like, if it's winter, you probably might not want to put it outside.
And. Oh, you know, the power of saying something out loud is really important to set the tone. And so there's an affirmation here for you.
So you put them in the window or you take them outside and you say, I charge this crystal with the full moon's energy to enhance its healing properties and. And align with my highest good.
I like that.
[00:36:30] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:36:31] Speaker B: Leave them out for a few hours or overnight if you can, and then retrieve them and you can sage them. Or you. You could do some sound. Sound healing with them, toning things like that so that. That's some way you can take advantage of the full moon. Right.
And then the one, I think the classic one. You know where I'm heading with this one? I think you talked about it at the beginning.
[00:36:58] Speaker A: Is it breath work?
[00:36:59] Speaker B: Nope, it's the writing it down on paper.
[00:37:02] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:37:03] Speaker B: And releasing it.
[00:37:05] Speaker A: Yeah. Burning the paper after you write down the things you're getting ready to let go of and just having this intention of. After you burn the paper, you go outside, you blow out the ashes, and you just say. You just, like, let it go. And being, like, truly honest about has a very, very healing feel to it.
[00:37:26] Speaker B: Yes. And you're doing something physical that helps your emotions and your mental process, too. So it imprints, Right?
[00:37:33] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:37:34] Speaker B: So this particular suggestion that I'm looking at says, go ahead and write them all down, all your negative thoughts. I've done it differently where I'm setting an intention of one thing to let go of and really focused on it. I don't see how it could hurt either way.
And then you hold the paper in your hands. You can use wish paper, too. Wish paper, something.
They're like these little squares of paper you can write on, but when you burn them, they go up in the air like a little balloon, and they just evaporate. Yeah. So you can watch the paper just burn right in front of you. It's called wish paper. You can probably buy it online.
And so there's a mantra here if you want to borrow it when you're getting rid of what you have written down.
Say, I release these burdens to the full moon, trusting that they will be transformed into light and love, or whatever you want to say.
And then I love this. Everything that the AI is recommending we've already covered, which tells us we are on target, considering that's pretty good, considering I'm feeling kind of out of it on this full moon.
Full moon water.
[00:38:48] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:38:49] Speaker B: Yeah. So you talked about that. Fill up a container, put it outside, but you didn't talk. I mean, you talked about setting an intention, but if you don't have a specific intention.
An example here is I infuse this water with the full moon's healing energy and clarity.
Very simple.
[00:39:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:39:10] Speaker B: Leave it out if you can overnight drink it the next day.
And then we talked about this, but we talked about a moon bath, but we didn't talk about a regular full moon bath where you actually use the bathtub.
[00:39:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
Or the shower, too. Like, just focus, focusing on, like, letting it rinse all off you.
[00:39:31] Speaker B: Yeah. So it's to cleanse you, which is perfect during a full moon because you're carrying all of that stuff that needs to go, so you're ready to release it. And then it also says it does help you connect with the divine feminine, like we talked about before.
So whether you're masculine in form or feminine in form, go ahead and pull your favorite bath salts or essential oils or herbs. And if you can, light a candle around your bathtub and focus on cleansing your energy and releasing negativity while you're actually in the water in the tub or the shower, Imagine the moonlight soaking into your skin and cleansing your aura and restoring your balance.
You can also place your crystals in the water nearby, allowing them to charge in the moonlight while you bathe.
So you can put them in your bath or you can have them charging while you're bathing. Okay.
And that should help, too.
And then another one would be to say full moon affirmations and prayers.
So that could be an affirmation you come up with on your own.
[00:40:37] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:40:38] Speaker B: But here's. Here's a suggestion. If you're. If you can't come up with one that is.
Is feeling good to you, this is another simple one.
Under the full moon's light, I align with my highest purpose.
I am open to receiving divine guidance and manifestation. May this energy flow through me and bring clarity and growth.
And then you just close your eyes and imagine that coming, coming, coming into your existence. So these are all simple things that the AI Pulled up. You know, I asked for simple rituals for the full moon, but it helps you. You to release the stigma of the full moon being a time of lunatics. Right. To you taking charge of the full moon, which is, I think, what most of us want to do.
[00:41:27] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:28] Speaker B: So I think that was interesting that some of the things we already discussed showed up on the list. So we're on target.
We're on target.
[00:41:39] Speaker A: Yay.
[00:41:41] Speaker B: My mom worked at Harborview Hospital in Seattle, and I did ask her one time, I think I was in high school. I said, is it true that the. There's more emergencies on full moons? And she said, absolutely true.
So the more you can take that energy and not let it affect you adversely, the more you take control of it, the better you are. And the better, I guess, all of us are because you're.
You're mastering it. You're not letting it master you.
[00:42:21] Speaker A: Well. And the energies now are so intense that we're manifesting so fast. So if you are in fear mode, for example, it's going to open you up for more. Like, we're not that. We're saying we wish that or whatever for anyone to go through that, but, like, accidents will happen more often because you're not paying attention because you're.
Or things could just happen to you more because you're. You're feeding that negative energy. So when you feed, anytime you feed any negative energy, the outcomes of that usually aren't that pleasant.
So what we're kind of really trying to also say is that why don't we use the energy of the full moon for good things? Like, for really, like, have control over the things we want to bring forth. Like, let go of the things that we're ready to let be let go. Like using that energy to help us rather than enable us.
[00:43:14] Speaker B: Because when you think about it, we've been programmed to think that the full moon is evil by vampire shows, werewolves, and all of that kind of stuff. Something bad's gonna happen on the full moon to the character in the movie.
And that isn't necessarily true.
[00:43:36] Speaker A: I think part of, like, going through a spiritual awakening is going through everything and how we've been taught and just really finding out our own interpretation of it.
[00:43:49] Speaker B: Well, that's another way of reflecting, just bringing the moon back in. In again, you know, Is it really the way it is on tv, in the movies?
[00:43:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:00] Speaker B: And I can tell you for sure, when it comes to tarot, that is such a warped representation of what people do reading tarot cards. They want you to fear, get getting information from your higher self, because the control system doesn't want you having a direct conversation with your higher self. So of course it's going to demonize it. Right?
[00:44:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:25] Speaker B: So there are so many people.
Amaral even mentioned a couple he knows who are in dread. Fear of Tarot.
[00:44:34] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:44:35] Speaker B: And I was too. That's why I decided to study it, because I was afraid of it. I said, I've got, I've got an opportunity.
I'm gonna face my fears, shine a light on it. Right? Which is what we're talking about with this episode.
And that's what I wanted to do because I was seeing all the Illuminati symbols, right? Because I know a lot of the cards. There's an all seeing eye above the tarot, the tower card or something like that. You know, evil, Evil. Evil Illuminati. I was, I was scared of them based on the training and the indoctrination and the movies I'd seen. So I want, I wanted to surpass that. And who knew that, you know, 10 plus years later I'd be a professional Tarot reader. Because what I found out once I shone a light on it, just like we're talking about with the analogy of the full moon, was one of the best ways for me to really reflect on myself and understand myself. And it's a great tool for help other people reflect on themselves and understand themselves and see how much more empowered they actually are.
So I just wanted to bring that up because there's stigmas for the full moon. Because yes, some people abuse the energies and they don't do that. They use, they harness that energy for things that are not for the best of humanity. And given that there's a lot of fear that's instilled in people because, merely because of propaganda.
[00:45:57] Speaker A: Also I feel like because things are coming out during a full moon is a great time to get a tarot reading too.
And we all know obviously like Lola does amazing tarot readings, but it really just goes deep. It brings out things that like maybe you haven't figured out about yourself, things that your higher self needs to, to tell you or things you're going through that you may not understand. So it just really opens up that door for you to go further and explore more about yourself.
So if you haven't yet, I will definitely book a reading with Lola because she can really go deep into tarot and she doesn't sugarcoat things, which I love that because I can't do sugar coating things. It's like you just, I mean, obviously it's how we take the information, but there's a lot of growth that can be provided by tarot cards. And it's not evil. It's literally connecting to what your higher self wants to let you know or what it's what you're not understanding about your life that maybe you need more clarity on.
[00:47:00] Speaker B: Yeah. Which is exactly what the moon's about.
I was also thinking when you were talking about all the cultures around the world that do drumming circles on the full moon.
[00:47:10] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:47:11] Speaker B: You know, they're harnessing that energy too, but they're doing it as a group with collective intention in mind. And it's always a good intention to help the. It's to help the crops grow or, you know, to help with a successful season, all kinds of wonderful things. So you got to remember there's a reason why probably every one of you listening have ancestors who drummed on the full moon, regardless of whether you come from Africa or Europe or Australia or the Americas.
Who did I leave out?
South America for sure. They know how to drum. Oh, yeah.
[00:47:54] Speaker A: Central America.
[00:47:58] Speaker B: So there's a reason that your family and it's in your DNA drummed on the full moons because they knew that they could really use that time to bring in exactly what they want and to release what needed to go.
So there's such a strong, strong, strong archetypal tie to it.
[00:48:24] Speaker A: Not to mention, I'm just fascinated by, like, culturally, there's so many different types of drums. And like, I just think that it's so great. Like, obviously the, the drum itself, like, it's like it mimics the heartbeat and it gives you a deeper connection with it. But when you get to go culture, culturally, explore, like, first the fact that they all use drums, every one of them. And it's just there's so many different types of drums, and then depending on the drum beat can help you with so many different things. So it's just fascinating. Fascinating to me. It's really fascinating.
[00:48:59] Speaker B: Yeah. And one of the things I think that we're on the spiritual journey, we start to see, oh, now I understand why ancient cultures did this.
Now I. So I would recommend starting to celebrate whatever's in your DNA. And if you're a mix, like so many people are in North America, why not just embrace whatever culture you can?
I know some people who like to do the Nordic style drums. Right. Other people like the Cuban drums.
Other people like the Native American.
I think the most important thing is it seems to be a universal way of working with energy.
So just because you don't have a clear cut, you know, I. I'm this background, you know, two generations back, if you don't know, it doesn't matter because it all works.
There's a reason why they all did it.
[00:50:02] Speaker A: When it's just fascinating. The more you go through your ancestry and then the more you find out, whoa, I've, like had. Had lifetimes everywhere. So I've kind of been everything. And I've, like, been in different cultures with different drums, with different believes systems. Just.
I love it.
[00:50:23] Speaker B: Yeah. And if you don't have a drum, that's fine, you know, maybe you'll get one someday. But you can still appreciate the moon, you know, because not everybody drummed in the tribes right there. Certain people who drummed, you would still be setting the intention and outside with them. And so you can do that privately too.
But if you can get a group of people together with an intention for clearing something, that's even more powerful.
So even if it's your family, hey, let's set a group intention for the family. What we want to let go of and what we want to bring in as a family unit. Yeah.
[00:51:00] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:51:03] Speaker B: The ancients knew what they were doing. We find that out more and more and more, don't we?
[00:51:09] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
And I really. I wanted to also mention how grateful I am for crystals, because with crystals, especially once you start really going in and the deep dive of what each crystal can help us with, like, for me, I have this love for labradite, because labradite is a stone that connects you with the higher realms as far as information goes. So when I journal, I like to hold it. When I do the podcast, I like to hold it because it just brings these new ideas, perspectives, and it really helps me out with that.
The best crystals to have, if you don't really know necessarily what crystal to get, I always recommend is a beginning crystal to be a clear crystal, because the clear crystals, you can set any intention you want with them, but there's.
[00:51:58] Speaker B: Also certain ones that go with the moon.
[00:52:00] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:52:01] Speaker B: Moonstone would be obvious, right?
[00:52:04] Speaker A: I love moonstone. And moonstone is a feminine.
I have a ring that I wear, and it's my what I got for Christmas, because I got asked what I wanted, and I said, I just want a moonstone ring.
And I don't know if I could ever have picked a better moonstone ring because it has three moonstones.
[00:52:22] Speaker B: Your husband found it, right?
[00:52:23] Speaker A: Yep. In when I got it, it was a certain color. And the more I work with, especially because I got it, the coincidence. Synchronicities are not coincidence and synchronicities.
I got it right around the time that I really started working on my feminine side, healing the feminine side, which is my mom's ancestral side. And as I cleared It. And as things became too clear, got shinier and shinier and shinier.
And the funniest thing, which is really funny, and it was, like, totally uncalled for when we had Mo and Aaron, which are crystal people. Crystal experts, I should say.
They're looking at it and they're looking at it, and all of a sudden I say, I'm wearing a moonstone ring. And they're like, are you sure it's not opal? It's a little too bright to be moonstone. I said it wasn't that bright. But all of a sudden with the clearing and stuff that I did, it got brighter and brighter.
[00:53:16] Speaker B: Isn't that an interesting reflection on what you're doing with your body?
[00:53:21] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:53:21] Speaker B: By clearing that. So this is why we're talking about clearing on a new moon and getting rid of things that actually does eventually manifest in the physical. Like your clear ring.
[00:53:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:53:30] Speaker B: And imagine how your body's shifting and changing.
Theory, your DNA is changing.
We've got a few minutes. I want to tell you the crystals for the moon, because that got me interested. And you're going to be so happy. Yeah. Moonstone's number one. Yeah, that was pretty obvious.
It's associated with divine feminine intuition, emotional healing, like you talked about. Right. And psychic abilities. But guess what else is number 3?
Labrador ride.
[00:53:57] Speaker A: Of course.
[00:54:00] Speaker B: It'S. I didn't know that was associated with the moon. But it's because of the higher realms you just talked about.
And it's transformative. It helps with intuition, psychic ability at ease and shifting your consciousness.
Another one, Selenite.
It's the one that's used to clear.
We're talking about clearing on the moon. So it clears negativity. It cleanses other crystals, which is why you might want it with the moon bath. For the crystals. Right.
Connects to the angelic realm and helps with spiritual growth.
And then number four. Well, we should have known. It's good for everything. Clear quartz. Oh, yes, Master healer. It provides clarity, focus and manifestation and amplifies your intention. See, you want to do that because the moon's amplifying your intentions too. Right.
And then an all time favorite for most people, amethyst.
[00:54:52] Speaker A: Oh, yes.
[00:54:54] Speaker B: It provides spiritual insight and clarity. It helps with balancing emotions. We need that during the new. During the full moon. Right. And calming the mind. We need that during the full moon.
Helps with meditative practices.
Check. Full moon. Right. Clears negative energy. Check. Full moon. Helps with dream work. Check. Full moon.
Another one is rose quartz.
And rose quartz, I think it's very. You've seen it everywhere.
It's because it's gentle and nurturing. It goes with the full moon. Unconditional love and the heart and self love. We need that at a time when we're looking at our darkness, right?
[00:55:31] Speaker A: Yep. And divine fear, feminine connection.
[00:55:33] Speaker B: Yep. Self care. Okay.
And black obsidian, which is probably my favorite.
I love obsidian. I get excited when I see it.
So that's for the shadow self. Okay. And it clears negative energy.
It helps you with releasing rituals. Perfect. Because it's the releasing time. Okay.
This one I did not expect.
Citrine, the yellow one.
[00:56:00] Speaker A: Oh, really?
[00:56:01] Speaker B: Yeah. Let's see why it aligns with the sun's energy. But we're talking about the moon here. Okay.
Oh, but it also works harmonious with the moon. It says according to AI to enhance abundance and manifestation. Right. We talked about being the harvest moon. Right.
You've planted the seed during the new moon. Now you're harvesting.
So it's prosperity, creativity, personal power, inner confidence. We need that during the full moon, don't we?
So. Okay, cool. And then another one I think a lot of people like that seems very feminine. Is blue lace agate.
So it's about the nurturing aspects of the moon.
It's calming, it's peaceful.
And so there you go.
Those are some of the ones that are most associated, according to my ia, with you stirring the moon.
Those are pretty common ones. You probably have some of those at home. Go ahead and grab them during a full moon cycle.
[00:56:59] Speaker A: Isn't that interesting? And today I was drawn to put this in my pocket, which is an agate.
[00:57:03] Speaker B: And that might be blue lace. It's kind of bluish.
[00:57:07] Speaker A: It is. From the top. And this one's what I got at the cacao ceremony.
[00:57:11] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:57:11] Speaker A: As a gift.
[00:57:12] Speaker B: Oh, that's another thing you can do in a full moon. A cacao ceremony. Because that's divine feminine, works with the hearts.
We didn't even think about that, did we?
Oh, wow. Okay.
Well, I hope that some of these ideas help you to appreciate the full moon more. I mean, I still am a little bit out of it, a little bit fuzzy in the head. I know it's because of the full moon energies. I accept that. I'll work with that.
I'm not driving any heavy equipment today, but I guess that's the whole point, you know? Learn to love the moon. Learn to love that you feel a little off during the moon.
Apply your. Your own methods for dealing with it. Like we talked about, you know, meditation, the. The writing things down on paper, whatever you screaming into the pillow. Whatever you need to do, take charge of yourself during the full moon and don't let fear, fear, fear take charge.
[00:58:08] Speaker A: And it's really about self discovery and the things that do work for you.
[00:58:12] Speaker B: Yes. So we hope this episode was helpful and that you'll tune in again.
[00:58:17] Speaker A: Yes. And please share with someone and thank you for tuning in.
[00:58:20] Speaker B: Thank you.
