Join us as we spill the tea on what it's like to wake up to your authentic self.
My name is Ameril and I am here with.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: Well, I'm Lola Singer. But we're here with an extra special person today. We've got another guest.
[00:00:37] Speaker A: Yes.
So we're here with.
[00:00:41] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Michelle Mailer and Michelle Mailer is what I always tell people. She's a walking encyclopedia of essential oil knowledge.
[00:00:51] Speaker C: She.
[00:00:53] Speaker B: Discovered essential oils more than 10 years ago, way more and just every is just expanding all the time with, with what she's learned about them and how they can be used.
And we're probably going to have her back multiple times because she's so multifaceted. It was like, what do we talk about first with Michelle? Because she knows so much, she creates so much, we could go in so many different directions. And we all agreed the best starting point would be to focus on her journey of growth on the spiritual path and how it led her to creating totem animal or spirit animal essential oils.
[00:01:39] Speaker A: So, so let's start with the very, very basics.
So what are essential oils like? If you had to describe it for someone that's getting, that's new for introduced.
[00:01:50] Speaker C: To it, I guess essential oils are like the blood that flows through plants, to put it in layman's terms.
And every plant has different qualities to it that help it to grow. And it can also help us and our bodies and brains when we smell them or apply them to us. And essential oils are the very concentrated medicine that comes from many plants. It can be steam distilled and processed in other ways. And it's very, very potent compared to things like herbs.
So we use them in different ways than herbs and in definitely smaller quantities. A little goes a long way. But they are very powerful with their effects on your olfactory system, which also triggers things in your brain that help you with a lot of focus and grounding and clarity and things like that, besides physical effects which can happen when you apply them to your body.
[00:02:55] Speaker B: I first met Michelle at a meetup in Seattle. It's a spiritual meetup and she was the guest speaker. And I don't know how many notes I wrote down. I just wrote and wrote and wrote because.
But one of the Most interesting things, I think, for people who are new to essential oils.
For me, when I was new to it, because I got introduced to it through you, was where to place them on your body, like the back of your neck, that little spot that you can maybe describe to people because. Oh, and the other thing I thought was fascinating was that it's one of the first senses is I can speak. One of the first senses to pick up on a change.
So it's. It's very fast. The olfactory sense. So could you expand on that a little bit?
[00:03:42] Speaker C: Yeah. So the essential oils, when you apply them to the back of your neck, like you were talking about in a carrier oil. Yeah.
[00:03:50] Speaker B: But there's a special spot on the.
[00:03:51] Speaker C: Back of the neck. Yes. It's called the atlas or the mouth of God. It's also the brain stem. So the top of your neck, body, bottom of your hairline, right there at the base of your skull is that special spot where if you apply essential oils in a carrier oil, the carrier oil carries it in to your brain and your nervous system and helps with mental, emotional, spiritual as well, and physical effects. So let's say you put some sandalwood and frankincense on the back of your neck. That's going to help your brain to regulate stress. It's going to help you feel grounded.
The Santa one and frankincense are also good for having good dreams and deep sleep and also going into meditative states. So whatever you're doing at the time you put it on is how it's going to affect you. And it's not going to make you fall asleep in the middle of the day if you're using it for meditation, but if you use it at night, it can help you go into a deeper sleep. So there's a plethora of effects of each of the essential oils. And when they're applied to the body is when you get the greatest effects. But they can also be used in the air, like in a diffuser or a spray or something to clear and shift energies quickly. But if you want a real deep benefit applying them to your body, your body senses and accepts the plant medicine that's in essential oils. Because our bodies are made of the same materials.
I don't know how to explain that scientifically, but we are all one and we definitely benefit from the different plants.
So just like the willow tree is used, used for making aspirin, there are essential oils that work for pain relief as well when put on different parts of the body.
And there are other ones that help with clarity and focus, like rosemary and things like that.
[00:05:55] Speaker A: Awesome.
[00:05:55] Speaker B: Yeah. But before. Before that, the other thing is the bottom of the feet, right?
[00:05:59] Speaker C: Yes. You can also apply oils to the bottom of your feet to get an effect throughout your whole body. So the brain stem is a good spot for the mental, emotional, spiritual, and some physical. And then the bottom of the feet, the reflexology points will pull the oils in. If you rub all over the bottom of your feet and your toes and send it out to the rest of your body.
So if you're trying to use oils for immunity or something, that would be a great place to put them. But also, if you want a strong grounding effect and maybe a warming or something like that, you can apply the oils to your feet, too.
[00:06:38] Speaker B: Okay, so now you can see why we want Michelle back, because she can approach things from, you know, how it helps you physically, how it helps you emotionally, how it helps you spiritually. And we're going to focus on spiritually today with the totem animal sense. And I can.
Speaking of sensing things, I sense you have a question for Michelle.
[00:06:57] Speaker A: No, I was just going to say, I always. Before I even start with any essential oils, I have to smell it. And then when I'm gonna be intentional about it, I usually, like, take, like, three smells to it to really just allow it to come in and for me to experience the scent. And then I apply it in the back of my neck. I also tend to apply it on the heart. And that's just kind of spot that.
[00:07:19] Speaker C: I suggest to people.
[00:07:20] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:07:21] Speaker C: The first two, actually. The back of the neck and the heart.
[00:07:23] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:07:23] Speaker B: So this is good information for people who are new to this topic. So I appreciate you letting us know because I thought that was the most amazing thing. It was like, oh, I didn't know where to put it.
[00:07:35] Speaker C: Can I talk about that for a sec?
So the different parts of your being that are affected. So you want to talk most about spirituality today.
The cool thing about essential oils is they can help with all of the other areas so that you can get to that spiritual place.
[00:07:52] Speaker B: Yeah. Because it makes me balanced if there's.
[00:07:54] Speaker C: A distraction going on in your life or fear or something like that, if you can get that to a peaceful state, then you can tune into your spirituality much better. And that's another wonderful thing, that even though you don't know all the effects of the essential oils, they're doing all that wonderful stuff for your physical and emotional being while you're just using them for spirituality as well.
[00:08:18] Speaker B: That tells me it's a great tool for people who don't have time to meditate. Then.
Wow.
[00:08:24] Speaker A: Okay, so I want to rewind it a little bit.
[00:08:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:08:29] Speaker A: And go back to how we got started here, because I know that you used to do house cleaning. Could you elaborate on how you went from doing house cleaning and working with those products, which you were creating your own natural products as well, Correct.
[00:08:43] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:08:43] Speaker A: Awesome. So can you kind of like, go from there and tell us a little bit about how you got you started from there and just moved to essential oils yourself?
[00:08:52] Speaker C: Yeah. I started doing house cleaning in my early 20s, and I had a business for almost 24 years.
About halfway through that, I was introduced to essential oils and started using some of them in my business for the smell effect for cleaning, because I thought it smelled better than Lysol and things like that.
And so I was using the essential oils and started making natural cleaning products and started using those myself in my business. I wasn't selling them, but I was just using it my business. And then I started noticing that I was getting like.
I don't want to say it was more fun cleaning, but I got in a better mood while cleaning, while I was using the essential oils. And I feel like it was giving me better focus and more creativity.
And so I started researching the other effects besides just, you know, whether they were antibacterial and could clean the floor. And a lot of the oils that are so good for cleaning and making things smell good could also help with antidepressant qualities and helping with creativity and focus and all these other things. So then I started making some different kinds of sprays, like my spirit wings spray that would help with meditation and opening your third eye and grounding so that you could get into that space of listening to your higher self. And that was in about 2003, 2004. And I have just been, I would say, snowballing my list of blends since then. I, in 2010, moved from a place where I didn't feel like I was supported spiritually and was made fun of for talking to animals. And when I moved out of that place, within three years, I had made almost 100 animal totem since.
So just shifting my own environment to a place where I was more supported in my spiritual beliefs opened the doorway for me to make. Make a lot of new things.
[00:11:01] Speaker A: Okay. And while we were talking before and introducing one thing that really capture, like, just capture my thing, one of the. Because we were talking about how you had aha. Moments of as far as switching from your cleaning business to Your essential oil business by note, you yourself experiencing emotional shifts within certain essential oils you were using.
So which kind of opens us up on if I was beginning to use essential oils, which ones would you think that would ideally help me the best?
[00:11:36] Speaker B: Before we do that, let's talk about the fact that you can order essential oils from Michelle. She has an online business and you can reach her at www.now. it's a long name. Her business is called Circle of Healing Essential Oils.
So that's basically what her website is to www.circleofhealingessential oils.com. you're going to see the wide variety. She progressed because she felt the spark of excitement, because she could tell when she started with these natural essential oils for cleaning that it sparked her creativity and it even hit her at eight soul level, where she started to realize, I've done this in past lives.
So that's what I think is really, really special about Michelle. It's like it ignited you, didn't it?
[00:12:34] Speaker C: Totally.
[00:12:35] Speaker B: So this is why she has so many oils now. Please check out her website.
The animals are listed on her website. That's what we're going to focus on here today. But there's even more.
So just wanted to get that in.
[00:12:50] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, no, totally.
Thank you for actually, like, letting us know. So we didn't skip over that, which is important.
[00:12:56] Speaker B: Yeah, because once you hear about some of these animal scents, you're gonna go, oh, that's the one I need.
And her oils, like your animal scents, are like $15 for a roll on.
For a small one on up. So they won't. They won't break the bank when you.
[00:13:12] Speaker A: Use such a small quantity anyways that they last a while too.
[00:13:15] Speaker C: So they really go a long way when you're applying them to the back of the neck. And that's one of the main areas in the heart that we use the animal totems for. So they do last a long time.
[00:13:26] Speaker B: Okay, so since this is a podcast for people who are new to the spiritual journey, but also some more advanced people, too, why don't we start with the ones that you might recommend to someone who's just starting to explore their spirituality.
We talked about one before the show that we thought was a great introduction, and that would be unicorn.
[00:13:51] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:13:52] Speaker B: So tell us about your unicorn totem animal scent.
[00:13:56] Speaker C: So I made the unicorn totem for getting you to the point where you're confident about your own gifts. And so it can help support, support energetic protection with the copaiba balsam that's in it. It's a protection oil. It helps with creativity with the mandarin and chamomile that's in it and lavender. And then it also helps to release guilt and shame, which can stop you from coming into your full power. With the cypress oil that's in it, there's also frankincense for releasing sadness.
So unicorn oil.
It smells wonderful. And I would say it's one of my most universally liked scents. So if you're not sure if your friend would like it, usually they will. And I can't say that about every single oil I make, but that one is very popular.
[00:14:48] Speaker B: That's a good point, because it's kind of like your taste in food, your taste in preference for what you would like to experience with your olfactory senses can be different from person to person.
[00:15:01] Speaker C: Yeah. And I can adjust things for people also if they want to work with an animal, but there's an oil in it they can't use.
I love making special blends for people. It's, you know, something that I am able to do because I have, you know, a small business. I'm not doing some giant, you know.
[00:15:17] Speaker B: Yeah. And Michelle lists the ingredients in each one of the oils. So if you saw one, like, for example, I don't do vanilla.
So if there was something with vanilla in it, I could probably request from her. Could we kind of do something similar, but substituting something for vanilla?
[00:15:33] Speaker C: Yep. And that's actually how I started my business, for people who were very sensitive to fragrance oils and didn't want to use those. So I've been very aware of if somebody, you know, is attracted to something or not, I can adjust it for them. I'm not like, well, this is the way my blend is.
[00:15:49] Speaker B: You can't have it different.
[00:15:51] Speaker C: I love to customize things. Yeah.
[00:15:52] Speaker B: So you can reach out to you on your way, send you an email.
[00:15:56] Speaker C: Yeah. And I could also, you know, tell you if a blend is going to be something that is something for your personal scent palette. If I know what you like, I can suggest certain things that will fit into what you like. Yeah.
[00:16:13] Speaker B: And I've known Michelle for a long time now. It's been more than 10 years.
And one thing I know about her, she is very, very particular about where she sources her ingredients from.
[00:16:24] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:16:25] Speaker B: So it's going to be the highest.
[00:16:26] Speaker C: Quality for sure, and highest vibration. I only order from companies that are very small, smaller companies, not like giant companies, and that have, you know, good vibes with all their employees and their. All the people I talk to and they're sourcing and they're fair trade with farmers and all that perfect stuff.
[00:16:49] Speaker B: Yeah. So even if you can't, you know, you're not able to have unicorn right in front of you. Based on what we've talked about, it's got great properties to help you at the beginning, especially your spiritual journey. And since it's pretty much universally liked by most people, like we said, there's going to be some exceptions that might be a safe bet for you to start with, you know, exploring her. Her website's like, let me read more about the unicorn. Maybe I'll buy that unicorn.
[00:17:16] Speaker C: Yeah. And then you would use it like on the back of your neck and your heart a few times a day for complete support. Like I would say morning, midday and evening would be really great. You could even use it like at bedtime for dream work.
So you could use it more often than that too, in other places of your body. Some people like to use it like a perfume on their wrists and behind their ears in different places. And that's wonderful too.
[00:17:40] Speaker B: I do that. I love you. I've got. Got so many of your scents. And it's amazing when you get to see her in person. And she, she does have. Your products are at Vision Quest in Everett. Right.
And at Mystical Wares in Mount Vernon. And she does sometimes go all around to fairs. And you were really traveling a lot in the summer. So she can be found at a lot of different venues, but she'll list them on her website.
[00:18:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll be at the October 18th mystical wears fair is the next one I'll be doing.
[00:18:18] Speaker B: Okay.
All right. So another one that we talked about that would be possibly a really good starter for people who are new to the spiritual journey is the Bison and the White Buffalo, which ties into White Buffalo Calf Woman, I would imagine.
[00:18:33] Speaker C: Yes. That's just one blend. I've given it two names because it's a combination of those energies.
[00:18:41] Speaker B: And it says here on your pamphlet you have that you give out at fairs, that it's about ancestors reverence, self confidence. It helps with anxiety. It's an anti depressant. Oh, my goodness. It's got beautiful things in it. Rose, nutmeg, cypress.
[00:18:57] Speaker C: It's very well liked as a perfume as well. I've noticed a lot of people just love the scent and they're drawn to it, but it can help you if you're wanting to find your path and you don't know how to start.
It's really good at getting you connected with your deep core self, maybe connect you to Ancestors and past lives, which can bring through past life knowledge and help you feel more confident now.
So just applying that oil can trigger something in your brain.
[00:19:32] Speaker B: So that would be good if you wanted to set the intention in meditation to connect with your ancestors.
[00:19:37] Speaker C: Yes. And you can do that through meditation or you could do it through before you go to bed. If you set an intention that you want to dream about something, like you have a certain question that you want answered in a dream, or if you have, like, you want to know the next step that you need, you can focus on that before you go to sleep and use an animal totem oil or other essential oils to bring that in while you're sleeping.
[00:20:08] Speaker B: And then another one that we were thinking would be really good for people new on the spiritual journey, which is one of my personal favorites. She makes is.
[00:20:18] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, that one's powerful.
[00:20:20] Speaker B: I like the powerful ones.
[00:20:24] Speaker C: That one is probably one of the most powerful oils I have made. And it's in a lot of my other blends that are very powerful, like some of the goddess blends as well. The snake oil is wonderful for transmuting, transforming, and shedding your old skin and becoming new.
And it has jasmine and sandalwood and a wonderful, magical oil that is only made during lightning storms in it.
[00:20:53] Speaker B: Oh. Which is that.
[00:20:55] Speaker C: I can't tell you the name of it. It's a secret.
[00:20:58] Speaker B: Oh. Oh, no, no, no. We do not divulge your recipes.
[00:21:01] Speaker C: But I will tell you that the ingredient that's in that, that's made during the full moon is one of the most decadent oils. It has rose, jasmine, neroli, bergamot.
So many things in it. It's just. It's a really wonderful oil. And when it's mixed in the snake oil with the sandalwood and geranium zdravitz, which is a super unique oil and kind of hard to find. That one just throws all your inhibitions to the side so you can do things more confidently.
[00:21:39] Speaker B: Oh, wonderful. Yeah.
[00:21:41] Speaker A: Sounds great.
[00:21:43] Speaker C: Especially when you want to shed your skin.
[00:21:45] Speaker B: Yep. When you're ready for the new, the transformation.
[00:21:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:21:48] Speaker B: And is that one of the bases for Phoenix?
[00:21:52] Speaker C: No, it's not. Snake is not in Phoenix. But I like to use them together, for the snake can help to, you know, ignite your change. And then the Phoenix just burns all of the stuff away that no longer serves you and helps you bring in.
[00:22:09] Speaker B: Let's talk about Phoenix for a second. But I have a sidebar for that because you always forget that. I've seen Michelle at meetups Many times throughout the years. And I went to one in Seattle where she was the guest speaker, and she asked people, what animal should I do next? And I asked for Phoenix. So I'm the person who is the catalyst of for the Phoenix. And Phoenix has turned out to be one of your most popular blends, hasn't it?
[00:22:37] Speaker C: Phoenix is a catalyst.
[00:22:38] Speaker B: And I don't know how many times I've reminded you of that, but you always forget.
[00:22:43] Speaker C: Wow. Probably because I've shed my skin so many times that I forget things.
[00:22:47] Speaker B: I was the one poked you for Phoenix.
[00:22:50] Speaker C: Tell you that Phoenix is very significant on my list of things because I do a lot of private workshops, people's homes, do little parties and things. And everyone wants to add Phoenix to their animal totem pole blends to give it that oomph to change, transformation, and allow in. Oh, I'm getting chills. Allow in all your new.
[00:23:18] Speaker B: Yeah, because it's the purifying.
[00:23:20] Speaker C: So thank you.
Thank you for helping bring that one in. And all of these.
[00:23:25] Speaker B: It smells delicious.
[00:23:27] Speaker C: All of these animal totems were made because either a person or an animal asked me to make them.
[00:23:32] Speaker B: Now, that's something that is very interesting. So you've gotten divine messages from the animals themselves.
[00:23:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:23:39] Speaker B: Okay, so what's that like?
[00:23:42] Speaker C: Well, the funniest one, if you want to hear about it, was when I was making rabbit.
And this is when my 1. My pet care mentor was still alive.
He's. He was veterinarian, and I was making. I was gonna make rabbit oil. I wrote down rabbit on a label, put it on a bottle, and set it on my desk. And then it sat there for a week, and I was doing other things. And all of a sudden, when I was coming home each day, there was a rabbit in the driveway, and it wouldn't move.
[00:24:18] Speaker B: Oh, I've had that where they don't.
[00:24:19] Speaker C: Move away for me to drive. And I actually had to get out of the car and, like, talk to it a couple times.
And I mentioned it to my housemate veterinarian. He says, well, what's he telling you?
And I'm like, oh, my gosh, that bottle on my desk.
I need to make their oil.
So I made the rabbit totem oil.
I was almost done. I had. I was like, it's almost perfect. I needed to adjust one thing. I asked my nephew to help me with it while we were at a fair on Fidalgo Island.
He said I should have grapefruit in it. So we added the grapefruit, and then we went out for Lunch to take a walk.
We went for a walk down this trail, and all these bunnies came out and stopped us right after we finished it. Wow.
[00:25:09] Speaker B: It was perfect.
[00:25:10] Speaker C: It was a magical experience for him as well, because he got to see that when I finished the oil that, you know, his crazy aunt had been talking about the bunnies stopping her and she needed to finish it. He got to see in, you know, real action, the bunnies come out and stop us when we were done and say thank you. So that was really fun and beautiful.
[00:25:30] Speaker B: It is quite surreal.
[00:25:32] Speaker C: They stopped blocking me. I didn't have any problem with coming in the driveway after that.
And the rabbit is about magic of the full moon. And when you use rabbit totem, if you need an answer to something, you can use the rabbit totem as like, you know, put a little totem on an altar, or you can use the oil and you'll get your answer in 28 days. Or the thing you're trying to complete will come to fruition within the moon cycle.
[00:26:00] Speaker B: Well, that's just pretty darn interesting and exciting.
[00:26:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:26:04] Speaker B: Are there other animals that came through in a similar manner? Maybe not as bold, but it's one.
[00:26:10] Speaker C: Of the craziest ones.
I'm supposed to make one.
[00:26:16] Speaker B: You're getting a put, you're getting a nudge.
[00:26:18] Speaker C: I know I'm supposed to be making praying mantis, but things don't always happen like the second I see them. Sometimes they'll just. I keep in my mind, and then I know when it's time to make it.
Some things need to be made in 24 hours. Some may take a year. But I know praying mantis is coming.
[00:26:35] Speaker B: A lot of people like praying mantis, especially the starseeds who feel a connection to the mantis beings. So I think that will be appreciated.
[00:26:43] Speaker A: Yeah, they're super great healers. I've actually had a connection with them. But also interesting enough how I function on doing things in life. And what my compass is, is three synchronicities.
And that's like, that's how spirit. And I also make sure that, like, I asked for the synchronicities to be so obvious because, you know, if you just let it out for spirit, it could be like anywhere and you won't even catch on to it.
But that's how I guide myself. So have you felt that way when you're making the, like, when you're getting the push to, okay, I'm ready to do this animal. And does it come up to you first of all, or does it normally, like, you just get inspired when you're doing it.
[00:27:30] Speaker C: There's a lot of different ways that it happens.
A lot of times it's because someone will ask me to make it.
I'd say about at least a third of the ones that I've made are because an animal showed up and kept getting my attention.
And if you guys are interested in learning more about these animals. I learned most of what I know about the messages is from the Ted Andrews books. He has several books that are really wonderful to understand signs and nature and animals. Yeah. And he has. I think he has a one on nature and then three on animal totes.
But he.
He talks about watching for animals doing something they don't normally do.
So if a crow comes and lands on your windshield and is looking at you, or somebody was talking about eagles dive bombing their car, maybe it was you guys.
[00:28:26] Speaker B: Amaral. Because I've been in the car when that happened.
[00:28:30] Speaker C: Or if you like, one day I saw 50 blue herons fly right over me on the freeway. And, like, oh, I'm looking this up when I get home. And I realized I needed to talk to someone about something that was hard to talk about because I might hurt their feelings. And that's what blue heron medicine is about. So even though I had already made the animal totem years ago, I paid attention to that. Whoa. 50 blue herons. Flowers flying up in the sky. I've never seen that in my life. I need to go look this up. And I was like, okay, I need to woman up and talk to this person about this thing that's hard to talk about because my life will be better once I do.
[00:29:10] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:29:11] Speaker B: I think it's fascinating because this ties into the episode we did about Spirit Animals 101 so perfectly, because I kept finding animals just, like, not budging in the road.
[00:29:20] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:29:20] Speaker B: And yes, Michelle has a blue heron totem scent.
[00:29:24] Speaker A: I like the smell of it.
[00:29:25] Speaker C: It's in the toad.
[00:29:26] Speaker B: Just. Just for the sake of the people who are listening, I'm gonna read off all of the. All of the totem animals she has. We may not have time to talk about each one, but I think you will love hearing this.
So there's bat bear, which is one of my favorites. It's got a cinnamon in it smell.
Bee, blue heron, buffalo and bison.
Butterfly, cougar, coyote, crow, deer, dolphin, dragonfly, eagle, elephant, fox, frog, hawk, horse, hummingbird, ladybug, octopus, otter, owl, peacock, phoenix, porcupine, rabbit. There's even a Sasquatch people. Skunk, spider, tiger, thunderbird, unicorn, whale, wolf.
There's a special snake totem. Oh, Falkor the hope the Falkor the luck dragon.
Dragon breath. Okay. We've got a lot of. Okay, we got jaguar. So anyway, if any of those are your favorite animals, you might just want to contact her and order it because it's probably going to smell great no matter what and it's going to have healing properties and it's going to bring in more of that animal's energy to you. So even if you don't get a chance to experience the fun of smelling the fragrance for yourself, it's going to have great properties for you. For example, if you really relate to wolf, get the wolf and see how you like it.
[00:31:07] Speaker A: So another thing too that I have experienced myself before that I absolutely loved is your classes.
And so if I was. So let's say like I, I was with a whole bunch of friends and we're like, we want to learn about essential oils and we want to have a class. Do you customize class for people? Like, for example, like can they call you and be like, we have this amount of people. We would like a class on essential oils and creating essential, like personal essential oils, which that is a total such amazing experience because you get to mix and create your own.
[00:31:43] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:31:43] Speaker A: You go and she gives you the recipe for it. So you write it down too so that, that way you don't forget it in case you needed to restock it. And I have so many that I love. But it brings us back to spirituality because one of the, one of the sayings that I've always felt that it really aligns us with things is we came to create.
So even on a level of creating your own essential oils, you're still practicing what we should all be practicing.
So by saying that, how do you feel about essential oils? Like how like as far as your alignment with them and how do you feel like, like now that now that you're more experienced, like you've experienced so many of them coming in and stuff like how do you feel your alignment connects with just that creative part of you?
[00:32:37] Speaker C: I feel like if I am not creating, I feel stagnant, like something's missing. And if I am creating, I feel passionate and full of wonder and it's like a self powered machine. I guess. The essential oils keep me energized and teaching people and sharing with people on their level. Like you were talking about doing private classes. Some people that come to a class like that, they want me to help them with everything. Some people want to be more on their own with doing something, and I love to support whatever they're comfortable with.
[00:33:19] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:33:20] Speaker C: And I definitely try to instigate a little bit of mixology with people and letting. Helping them to try something new and get more confidence with blending and things. But I don't feel like I want to push that. And a lot of people just, you know, want to learn a little bit about it and have me make something for them. And I love doing all of that.
I don't feel like one way or the other is best.
I even empowered some people to start their own aromatherapy businesses. And it was funny. I had a couple people tell me, oh, I didn't know if I should tell you I'm doing this. I'm like, I am so proud of you doing that. There's no competition.
[00:34:00] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:34:01] Speaker C: It's learning and creating, and everybody does something different. If we all three of us right now, created something with three different oils with three drops of each in a bottle, even though we all use the same thing, each one of ours would be different with the energy that's in it because we made it.
[00:34:18] Speaker A: That is very true.
[00:34:19] Speaker B: And what we're focusing on is.
[00:34:20] Speaker C: And it could even affect the smell, believe it or not, with our energy. It could vary it slightly by the way that you're putting your intentions.
[00:34:30] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:34:30] Speaker C: Because.
[00:34:30] Speaker A: And also the way you perceive things. And then your frequency, too, would add to just how you bring that into your.
[00:34:37] Speaker C: And I think about that when I'm mixing, too, I make sure that I don't mix. If there's something going on that's making me feel angry or frustrated or distracted, I will make sure that I do my blending in a time that I'm feeling, you know, peaceful and not distracted.
[00:34:55] Speaker A: And I love that you're saying that, because I find it that it's part of, like, having that I. For lack of a better word, I want to call it professionalism. But also because you want to bring quality products, meaning you don't want your feelings to interfere with the medicine that you're bringing and creating for someone.
[00:35:15] Speaker C: Right. For their highest investment.
[00:35:16] Speaker A: Exactly.
So I want to share something with you that I wrote. And I totally don't want to miss out on. And I just want to share on my own experience with essential oils. So when I first started, I had no clue what essential oils were, and I started getting, like, all of a sudden, people started gifting me essential oils, and I started smelling them, and I would like the smell, and I would know where to place them. But at that time also. And this is why the reason why I'm saying this is because I want you to just kind of go elaborate a little bit more so that beginning people can really understand. Because at first for me it was just the smells. But then all of a sudden as I started healing and clearing myself, I really started feeling the energy from them and I started feeling the energy assistance. Like for example, let's say one on one is for shedding.
I would really feel it when I would like go through things. And I've even created one that it's my absolute favorite. And I.
And it's called, I called it because I got to name it was I am Transformation. And even though we're not talking about the. The temple, such oils, but it's just very powerful what was in it. And I up to this day, I use it every time before I go to any kind of release or any kind of thing. It's always with me.
So how, how have you experienced, like people coming to you and where they're starting out, like, what do you. What would you say they would expect out of their first experiences compared as they continue on their path? What is to come of what evolves about them about essential oils?
[00:36:47] Speaker C: A lot of people come to me looking for something to support them spiritually. I would say about the same amount of people as do come to me for looking for something for pain relief.
And I've noticed that the people who come for one or the other eventually start using essential oils for both of those things, even if they came thinking they were just going to do one thing.
So I've noticed that people will use the oils for empowering themselves. Ground grounding and protection is a big, A big thing with a lot of my clients. I would say they want something that is going to help them to differentiate their own energy from other people's. And if you have, there's a lot of tree oils that are good for protection, which are in a lot of the animal totems oils I make because tree oils are connected with animals and those would help with, you know, keeping that other people's energy out of your space so that you are only dealing with your own.
And a lot of times, no matter how far along our journeys we are, we forget that we could be picking up on other people's energy sometimes. So it's, it's nice to have a tool that is always working even when we don't remember.
[00:38:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:38:10] Speaker B: What would be one of the animal oils that has a lot of tree in it? Because I think grounding is important for people who are New to the spiritual journey.
[00:38:20] Speaker C: The wolf and the porcupine.
And I did want to mention the porcupine is a unique oil, because when you think about a porcupine, porcupines never have to tell other animals to be aware of them. Maybe dogs, but not the other ones in the wild. All the other animals in the wild know not to mess with a porcupine. Right. So their energy. I put some very soft grounding and powerful oils into the porcupine. And fur oil is one of the ones that's in that one, the fur needle. And that can be very grounding and protect you from other people, belittling your sense of wonder. Let's just say I feel like some people that are not happy, they want to stop other people from having a sense of wonder and excitement about every little thing in life because they are jealous and they don't feel it themselves. And that's the kind of oil that you can use for protecting from those people's energy.
[00:39:26] Speaker B: If you hear noise, the cat just jumped on the table. That was her.
[00:39:29] Speaker C: She likes that.
[00:39:30] Speaker B: That was her collar.
Okay, Speaking of animals, I'm looking at tiger right now.
So this is for passion and new endeavors and opportunities and public appearances. So this would be good for getting over your fear of being seen.
I think I need that one.
[00:39:50] Speaker C: The tiger.
[00:39:51] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm still working on that as.
[00:39:53] Speaker A: Like, unseen, if you think about it.
[00:39:57] Speaker B: Which is interesting, because at one of the parties we went to where we mixed our own essential oils. I made one called Samurai, and I think I put tiger in it. I put every Asian animal I could think of in it. So it's got Phoenix in it. It's got tiger. It's got.
[00:40:13] Speaker C: That was a powerful party.
[00:40:15] Speaker B: Remember that?
[00:40:16] Speaker C: We all made some.
[00:40:17] Speaker B: Yes. But everything I put in that was from Asia.
[00:40:21] Speaker A: Yeah, that's where my I Am transformation one came from, too, in that party.
[00:40:28] Speaker C: And the whales that are in this one. The cardamom is one of the best memory and focus oils in tiger, and geranium is also very good for clarity. And lime is a very, like, powerful, creative stimulant. Gives you clarity, doesn't it? It's also good for seasonal. Seasonal affective disorder.
[00:40:51] Speaker B: The other ones I wanted to talk about, because we've talked about this in other podcasts, is that I've just been so aware of so many people with that Starseed connection to Sirius.
I talk to them a lot at the fairs, and the first thing I say to them, I bet you like whales and dolphins, don't you?
And the color Blue. Yep. So I think they would benefit from your dolphin and whale.
[00:41:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:41:15] Speaker B: Scent. The ones who feel that starseed connection.
[00:41:18] Speaker C: Dolphin is really popular too. The scent of it, it's for four tree oils and rose.
[00:41:26] Speaker B: Rose is the highest vibration, right? Yes.
[00:41:28] Speaker C: Rose is the highest vibration oil. So it will instantly bring your energy up and it helps to protect you from your energy being lowered. So it helps keep your frequency high when you're using that whale on you.
[00:41:43] Speaker A: Like, I might need some dolphin.
[00:41:45] Speaker B: And what about the whale?
[00:41:46] Speaker C: Dolphin is also good for communication with, of course, Atlantis and your guides. And the whale, I would say, is a really wonderful one for sound healing or if you're working with sound and also singing.
But like, I like to use it when I'm going to go to a sound bath or listen to something where, you know, I'm doing a meditation with sound healing on it or something like that. And then also for connecting to ancestral energy. Kind of like a sonar.
[00:42:22] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
Does it make people more comfortable with their own voice as well?
[00:42:26] Speaker C: Yes. And mermaid does too. And there's whale oil in mermaid.
[00:42:30] Speaker B: Oh, well, that makes sense.
[00:42:31] Speaker C: I don't know if you call it a mermaid animal, but yeah.
[00:42:34] Speaker A: Do with the mermaid also be. The siren will be included as well or.
[00:42:39] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:42:39] Speaker A: Okay. I would imagine. But I just.
[00:42:42] Speaker C: Yeah, I actually updated that a few years ago and added the siren energy because I realized that people were ready for it. It Sounds funny, but 20 years ago they weren't and we have shifted.
And I also didn't release my snake oil to the public for almost 10 years because I felt like people weren't ready for it.
[00:43:01] Speaker B: I remember you cautioned me when I bought it.
[00:43:04] Speaker C: Yeah. And that's the one that has the special blend made during. Only during lightning storm in it. So. So, you know, we're lighting up. We are.
[00:43:12] Speaker B: We are. Yes.
[00:43:13] Speaker A: And as we evolve, everything comes to light more and you understand things better. But one of the things about snake medicine that I can definitely attest to when I was first going into spirituality, because of religious programming and because of so many things, that snake is seen as such a negative thing when it never was a negative thing. In fact, it's the powerful thing that.
[00:43:36] Speaker B: You should connect with because it's all about transformation.
[00:43:39] Speaker A: Yeah. And shedding away what's no longer yours. And just to ease up of trend going through the process.
[00:43:50] Speaker C: Actually, you know, snake is kind of like the. The doorway for opening your own mind and your own knowledge. Like the, you know, the tree of knowledge can connection with the snake.
[00:44:01] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:02] Speaker C: So, you know, if you look at that part of it and take out the evil part, it's an amazing tool.
[00:44:09] Speaker B: Absolutely. And anyway it's, it's a much maligned symbol, but that's because I don't think they want you to tap into its powerful energy.
[00:44:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:19] Speaker C: If we're, if we're all, you know, confident in our own skin and feeling powerful, might not be, you know, as.
[00:44:29] Speaker A: Easy to manipulate you and control you.
[00:44:33] Speaker C: Be careful what words I use. Try to be positive about that. Yeah, yeah, it's definitely.
You're gonna have to look, read between the lines when you're looking for things that are gonna help you come into your power because there might be something a little, you know, trigger in your head. Oh, that word was a bad word when I was in kid at you know, Bible school or whatever. So I can't be connected with that. Those things, eventually you transcend that. Oh yeah.
[00:45:02] Speaker B: You get over that fear and that training.
[00:45:04] Speaker C: I think after the first 10 years of mixing essential oils, I finally realized, okay, I am doing ritual and ceremony and it's okay.
[00:45:12] Speaker B: I know, I know.
[00:45:13] Speaker C: Nothing wrong with those words. They're wonderful. I just had to, you know, clean out and scrub out my reprogramming.
[00:45:21] Speaker B: I get that completely because I ran that program myself.
[00:45:25] Speaker C: I was told that it was not okay to believe in dragons as a child. So as you can tell, I have really connected with dragons now that I am in charge of myself.
[00:45:33] Speaker B: That's true.
[00:45:34] Speaker C: I have five dragon blends I've made and that's one of my main guides.
[00:45:38] Speaker B: So since we're talking about that, what are your dragon blends? I know there's dragon tears because you gave those to me when I first going through grief.
[00:45:45] Speaker C: Yeah. The first one I made was dragons breath and that one I made as an anti bullying oil for one of my kids when they were taking the bus.
And I put it on the dryer sheets so that it would be subtle aromatherapy, smell weird and they don't want their mom putting oils on them. So I, you know, put it on the dryer sheets.
And then for adults and everyone else, it's really great for bringing in the power of dragon energy so that like when you wear that oil, people don't really. Most people don't see this, but you have a huge dragon energy behind you when you're wearing the dragon oils that tells people, don't bother messing with this person.
Just move along. It's not worth it.
The Dragon tears is the grief release oil. I've been using that a lot. It's been wonderful for all kinds of things. It's not just for a grief of losing someone or being sad. It can also be for a shift that is really hard to take. Like there could be a shift in society or in your job or your relationship that you need to grieve.
Maybe an old part of you.
[00:47:01] Speaker B: Yeah. And especially on the spiritual journey, you're grieving the part you've left behind because you're changing like the snake.
[00:47:07] Speaker A: And you also grieve the people that you leave behind for a little bit.
[00:47:10] Speaker C: Especially the ones habits that you let go of that didn't serve you, but you still grieve them because they felt normal.
And the dragon's love is for clearing emotional stagnant energy and processing and moving through emotions.
I found a lot of the people at the psychic bears that I've done have used that dragon's love for clearing in between clients.
And Dragon's Cave is one I made a few years ago for self patience with self healing, which is huge.
[00:47:46] Speaker B: Oh my gosh, you needed that for your whole spiritual journey.
[00:47:50] Speaker C: I used it daily for two years because I was being hard on myself with how quickly I was healing. And it's just a really wonderful. It has dragon's blood oil in it, which is super unique crazy oil from a tree that looks like it grows up in outer space.
I believe it only grows in Turkey, but I've also heard they have some in some special gardens. Now I have to go visit those. But the dragon's blood resin is very magical.
And then there's Falkor, the hope and luck dragon from.
Well, you might have seen him in one of your favorite movies, the Neverending Story.
[00:48:30] Speaker B: Yeah, I can attest to that when I have it. Smells great.
[00:48:34] Speaker C: This dragon oil is for helping people find a true friend or a companion or even liking your own company and finding good luck and fortune. So new kind of dragon.
[00:48:50] Speaker B: Yeah. So the really cool thing is you've got these intentions in mind while you're mixing it. So like we talked about earlier, your energy and your intentions are going into this, into this bottle as well as the high quality fragrance ingredients themselves.
[00:49:04] Speaker C: Yeah. And then the knowledge I have about essential oils comes through. If I'm looking for something that's going to help with making you feel confident or something like that.
The knowledge I have comes through and I'll think of oils that way. But also the animals or dragons in this case will put ideas into my head while I'm mixing of which oils they want.
[00:49:27] Speaker B: I think I was at a fair when you got a download from the bunny. That was the bunny.
[00:49:33] Speaker C: Yeah, I forgot about that part.
[00:49:35] Speaker B: You got the downloader.
[00:49:37] Speaker C: The bunny thing went on for a month. Okay. It was not just the rabbits in the driveway. It was Bunny Rose Jeffrey as nuns Wizard Asnan's bunny told me to put vetiver and she made it into a. She made it into. Oh, I remember this riddle across the room. I'm looking over at this bunny and I hear this voice say, do you see the green in my dress? And I'm like, what?
And I'm make. I was working on bunny oil that day. It was like part of the beginning of it. And I heard, yeah, you need to, to put an oil in that's green like my dress. And I was like, oh, vetiver.
Okay. Like the grass. Vetiver is a grass. And so that was, that was crazy.
[00:50:23] Speaker B: I witnessed that.
She came and told me how crazy it was. And it's like when you're living in the world of woo woo and you're at a psychic fair, it's like, oh, okay, that's really cool, Michelle.
[00:50:35] Speaker C: Luckily I was able to share that with my friends all that day.
[00:50:38] Speaker A: Yeah, well, that's that also, obviously, like we have tribe that we can share things and feel comfortable about talking about things, but there's so much that we go through that I think that essential oils are such a great tool for anyone at any level really, because you can, depending on what you're going through. It's like there's an essential oil for that.
[00:51:03] Speaker C: And if you don't like strong scents, I've actually made oils. People who don't want a powerfully strong scent, but more of a subtle one. And then if you put that on the back of your neck, it's not going to be a strong thing for you to smell. So you could make it real smelly or you can make it very subtle. Just depends on the strength.
[00:51:19] Speaker B: And what about the hydrosols?
[00:51:22] Speaker C: That would be a whole other conversation.
[00:51:25] Speaker B: Okay, we'll save that for another time. That's water based.
[00:51:28] Speaker C: If I could, I'd like to share a little bit. Yes. About how you can learn from these animals.
[00:51:36] Speaker B: Absolutely.
[00:51:37] Speaker C: So if you pay attention to animals that come through your daily life, it could be you keep seeing them on a billboard or you keep hearing about an animal from, you know, different people bring it up or you have dreams about the animal or they could actually be showing up in real life, in your yard, in your car, even in the mail, on a flyer or something. There might be a picture that keeps showing up in your life. You want to pay attention to that and whenever possible, do a little research and find out more about them and the main things that you would want to look for.
There's four things, and you can get more information, like from the Ted Andrews book that I was talking about.
You want to learn their biological rhythm and see how it applies to your life.
Look into their habits, qualities, characteristics, and behaviors and see if any of those apply to what is going on with you right now. And it could be something that's just to give you an answer for a day. And it could be an animal that comes in that wants to work with you your whole life. There is no wrong way for animals to come into your life. They don't have to be just one animal your whole life. It could be a different one, you know, every day of the week that wants to talk to you and give you a message.
So look up how it adapts to its environment and its relationship to its environment.
And if you can find out a little of those of that information, usually you're going to have an epiphany of how it applies to you and what's going on in your life that that animal can help you with by studying more about them.
And I do like to go on the Internet and look up animals. That's the easiest way. But I really. There's a few books that I really like to use to look them up as well. And the Ted Andrews books are some of my favorites.
There's also another book called Beasties that is written by Sarah Bamford, and that's a really fun book that has more new stuff in it that tells you how to use animal totems to balance your social life and social media. And that's not in the old Ted Anders books because there was no cell phones or computers then, so.
[00:53:49] Speaker B: And I have both those books.
[00:53:50] Speaker C: Yeah. So if you want them, the newer, you know, more modern animal totem book, I would say that the Sarah Bamford book is really a great one. And it has like a different chakra message for each animal and things. So that's where you can learn more.
[00:54:04] Speaker B: That's good advice.
I just got another thought. When you're talking about their habits, like, let's say you're suddenly drawn to the owl or you're seeing an owl a lot, that might be a reminder of looking at your subconscious as well.
So I think that's interesting. It could be like looking at shadow and light as well.
[00:54:27] Speaker C: Or the fact that they are awake during the night and sleep do with your message.
[00:54:34] Speaker A: Also, I find it that whenever. Because there is so much availability now, like you said, like, for example, there's like online that people can access quickly. I feel like it's really important for everyone to have a discernment too, because you can have, like a list of all these benefits. However, what is that animal? What animal medicine is that animal really bringing to you to help you at that time? Like, go through the description and see which ones actually align with you and which ones actually are speaking to you instead of just thinking that all of the description is truly what it is for you.
[00:55:09] Speaker C: Right. It's usually just a part of it for me. It's usually not the entire description. It's usually just, you know, one or two parts. Like maybe their eating habits and their mating habits might be the two things that you're looking at instead of their sleep patterns. Because, you know, if you're not a night person, you're not going to stay up all night like an owl, so you look at their other qualities.
[00:55:30] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:55:32] Speaker B: Well, I would just recommend everybody take a look at your website to learn a little more about what animal scents, what animal essential oils are available from Michelle. And she's got a little brief description of why and how they could benefit you as well.
And I like your advice of if this animal keeps showing up, you know, try to understand the animal. Bring in as much information as you can about this animal, and part of that information could be one of her essential oils as part of the experience.
So I think this is all valid.
I don't even know how many of your totem animal oils I have have.
[00:56:15] Speaker C: I'd love to see your shelf.
[00:56:18] Speaker B: I'll show you later.
[00:56:20] Speaker C: I also do sprays for the animals who don't want to wear them on their bodies. Not everybody wants to wear the oils in their bodies.
Or you can use them.
[00:56:28] Speaker B: And those are available on your website, too.
[00:56:30] Speaker C: Yeah. And you can custom order diffuser blends from me and things like that.
[00:56:33] Speaker B: Ah, very nice. Yeah. And then we didn't even talk about. She has a skin care line she's got. We're gonna have her back to talk about her temple oil line, which is about connecting with archetype gods and goddesses like Isis and Raw and Medusa, which is one of my favorites. That smells so good.
[00:56:56] Speaker A: And she has perfume oil. Speaking of smells, too. So.
[00:57:01] Speaker B: Skin care. Her skin care is chef's kiss.
It's just like we. We got it. We're gonna have Michelle back at least one more time. Probably more. More.
So Once again, Your website is www.circleofhealingessential oils.com. yes. It's worth typing it all in to find out about the vast array of oils she has. Michelle's very friendly, like she said. You can contact her to find out more about getting a personal scent.
She knows her stuff. I told you. She's a walking encyclopedia. If we did an episode just about the benefit of each of the items in her oil, you will be amazed.
She can tell you all about each herb. Each. Each little. I don't even know what all the ingredients are called in your essential oils.
The constituents. Yes. And why they're there.
[00:57:58] Speaker A: And she does customize work, too, as well, so there's that, too.
[00:58:03] Speaker B: Yeah. So we knew we'd end up talking to her and run out of time. We did.
[00:58:10] Speaker C: So.
[00:58:11] Speaker A: But thank you so much for coming.
[00:58:13] Speaker C: And thank you for doing this podcast. I listen to it every time they come out and I will never miss a week. So thank you.
[00:58:19] Speaker B: That's so nice to hear. We have at least one fan.
[00:58:22] Speaker A: And don't forget, we have way more than one fan. Calm down.
But thank you for those listening. Please share the episode.
And yeah.
Thank you, Michelle, for showing us so much of information on essential oils, as well as. We'll have you back.
[00:58:41] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:58:41] Speaker B: And being delightfully you.
